Two Great 2-Bedroom Condos at Savina: #509 and #905

Savina, in Downtown San Diego, has become a favorite for those who crave modern luxury paired with the city’s coastal scenery. Savina features 285 residences with 9 standard floorplans and a selection of unique floorplans. Our team leads in sales within the building and knows it inside and out, so I always emphasize that not all floor plans are created equal when it comes to water views. In my opinion, the 02 and 01 floor plans steal the show.
Let’s start with the premier plan, the 02 plan. Located on the northwest corner of Savina, this 2 BR + Den layout offers some of the most expansive views in 92101. Not only does this floorplan feature vast views of the Bay and ships sailing, you also see the Star of India, Point Loma, city lights and planes taking off and landing. The floorplan’s orientation is ideal because it faces Waterfront Park and a historic county building, allowing for uninterrupted views. This floorplan features split bedrooms (no shared bedroom walls), a large den, and spacious living areas with water views throughout. It also features a larger balcony compared to the other standard floorplans. The standard 02’s range from floors 6-24, with units 15-24 featuring slightly larger square footage (at 1,685 SF), and of course better views. See the floorplan below. If you are looking for a large 2 BR + Den and water views throughout, I recommend the 02 plan.
If you’re looking for something with wow factor views, yet less square footage (and typically more budget friendly compared to the 02’s depending on the floor height), I recommend the 01 plan. Facing due west, you see water views as soon as you open the front door! I like to say that it’s a design that feels effortlessly connected to the waterfront. The 01 floor plan shares a wall with the 02 plan, and is located directly to the south of the 02 plan. One of the key differences is that the 01 floorplan is an interior unit, compared to the 02 plan which is a corner unit with a wrap-around view. The 01 plan is a 2 BR layout with just under 1550 SF. Although it’s smaller than the 02’s, it’s still one of the larger standard floorplans and it also features a generously sized walk-in closet in the primary bedroom (not all units feature a walk-in closet in the primary bedroom). I like to say the 01 is a combo of luxury and practicality.
